The second annual Diabetes Dawdle takes place around the historic sights of Old Portsmouth and Southsea seafront.

DRWF is pleased to announce the return of the Diabetes Dawdle – a sponsored walk along the seafront of Portsmouth.

The event is set to take place from 12pm on Saturday, 30th September.

The routes are both flat and easily accessible for all and begin in Old Portsmouth before taking you on a journey through historic Southsea.

New for this year, there will be an option to take part in a four- or seven-mile route.

The walk is planned to take in landmarks such as the Square Tower, built in 1494 during the reign of Henry VII and the Royal Garrison Church, built in about 1212 by the Bishop of Winchester.

You will also have breath-taking views out across the Solent for large sections of the walk, passing both of Portsmouth's piers (the perfect opportunity to stop for an ice cream!).

The return stretch takes in stunning views of the Spinnaker Tower and Gunwharf Quays.

A completion medal will be presented to all those taking part.

The walk is on a flat-route and is suitable for walkers of all abilities and is family and dog friendly.

Parking is available and there are three toilet stops along the way.
