Booking info

Did you know that it costs DRWF approx. £190 per person to put on United Through Diabetes? However, we heavily subsidise your cost of attending as part of the charity’s objective activities and our educational aims. In the past people have registered but not attended on the day, which has left us with the full cost of their place. As places are limited, not attending also stops someone else from coming to the day.  If you register and a change in circumstances means you are unable to attend, please let us know at your earliest convenience. This will help us as a charity very much and we would be most grateful. Refunds are available for bookings before 29th July.

Please note: Your booking confirmation and reminder emails will come from Cheryl at The Compleat Group, who are managing the registration process on behalf of DRWF. Please keep your eyes open and check junk folders as we don’t want you to miss these important messages to help you plan your day with us.

History

Since Diabetes Research & Wellness Foundation’s inception in the UK in 1998 we have remained committed to supporting people living with all types of diabetes and those that care for them with our Diabetes Wellness Event Programme. From our humble beginnings holding local educational days in community halls and hospitals, the events soon grew to include our regional Diabetes Wellness Days, residential weekends, walking and activity holidays and healthy cooking days. Recent years have seen the events grow further to include our, in person and virtual Diabetes Wellness Type 1 Family Camps. In 2018 our work was recognised by colleagues across the diabetes industry with a national Sanofi ‘Quality in Care Award’ in Empowering People with Diabetes.

It’s been a remarkable journey and along the way we have forged great memories, made amazing friends, worked with the very best experts in the world of diabetes and changed lives. Now we are in our 26th year, we are looking ahead with great excitement to the next chapter and taking things to another level where we can support even more people living with diabetes.

We hope you’ll join us at our next United Through Diabetes event. We would love to see you there.
