Dance for Diabetes
National charity Diabetes Research & Wellness Foundation (DRWF) have developed a resource that enables pupils to be physically active through purposeful movement without stepping outside of the classroom.
This resource teaches pupils the benefits of philanthropy and the opportunity to raise additional unbudgeted funds for your school and DRWF.
What is Dance for Diabetes?
Dance for Diabetes is a fun, interactive PE and movement resource incorporating educational learning and philanthropy, enabling financial benefit to your school and DRWF.
Schools will receive a host of readymade classroom resources supported by a step-by-step and simple to follow dance video, choreographed to a well-known pop song that all the children will know.
With any partnership we have ensured it has learning and development objectives, an abundance of fun and what’s more, although everything is fully provided by DRWF. We aim to form longstanding relationships with schools, so we are also ensuring fundraising efforts are split between the childs school (40%) and Diabetes Research & Wellness Foundation (60%), making this hugely beneficial to the schools aims and objectives.
We are excited to announce that Dance for Diabetes will be delivered in schools week commencing 20th May 2024.
How will this benefit my school?
- FREE Resource to utilise daily encouraging physical activity.
- Your school will receive 40% of every £1 raised by your pupils.
- In 2023, schools received an average donation of £1,013.26 in unbudgeted income because of their participation.
- Evidence towards your school games mark and OFSTED.
- Peer to peer awareness of this condition and better-informed parental food choices.
- Enabling responsibility of older children within the school to act as dance leads during performance week.
- The video can be uploaded onto your website so children can practice at home / in after school clubs or anywhere they like. It’s all provided for you!

1. Get your school registered for the event

2. Set up a fundraising page with Enthuse
After your school is registered, set up a fundraising page for your child. This will help you raise funds for your school and Diabetes Research & Wellness Foundation.
